Once Blood Replaces All Water
by Maritza Kreman
When the deep crimson drips
From the bathroom faucet,
People wearing cross necklaces will
Smash the windows,
Wrap my rainbow pride flag around
My neck, then
Hang me outside my bedroom window,
My corpse half naked.
Oxygen shall leave my brain before
I can even ponder thirst.
